Great Seach experience

I switched for the adherence to EU GPDR standards. The 'environmental friendly' component is a nice to have though I strongly believe that planting trees will not save humanities presence on earth. Switching was easy enough, Although on LINUX it requires downloading a plugin (as opposed to simply adding the search engine in the parameters/search_engine) The AI integration is great and allows to dig deeper into searches with ease.

Possibly the most daily driveable Linux based mobile OS but it is not for everyone

Sailfish OS is its own mobile phone OS with its roots going back to Meego and Nokia. As such it is not a copy of iOS or Android, it as around as long if not longer with an all gesture based UI that also has its own way of doing things. But that is not why you are getting it. You are getting it because the basics work, because it has among the best Android compatibility layer in a non-Android phone and because you do not strictly need to use Android compatibility or anything from Google. I am very happy with the Jolla Phone 2026 that is featuring the newest Sailfish OS but I am probably not a a mainstream user. You get a choice, you can use it completely natively or you can use it with Android compatibility layer. I went for fully native, knowing that this is limiting me to the use of Jolla's apps and community created apps. You don't have to though, most android apps work with compatibility layer, apps that require google play integrity or similar (banking, ID ...) may or may not work. Private and clean interface
